Over here at Now In Store we like to explore new things. This is our first instalment of Vogue Wednesday<\/em><\/strong>;<\/em>\u00a0 every Wednesday we will introduce you to an incredible fashion blogger. We want to create Vogue<\/strong>\u00a0Wednesday<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0into a tight-knit community of amazing people who truly love fashion. Today we bring you Tammy from A Mom in Red High Heels<\/a>. Tammy is a fierce woman, her blog is one we’ve been personally reading for a while. She also has major bragging rights, Tammy’s been featured in: Marie Claire magazine, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Elle, and much more.<\/p>\n

…not about being obsessed with how one looks.\u00a0It\u2019s about caring for one\u2019s self. It\u2019s about working with what you have and empowering you with knowledge so you don\u2019t spend a lot of time or money that you can\u2019t afford to spend.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

(1) When and why did you start a fashion blog<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

A Mom in Red High Heels was launched in 2007. \u00a0I had previously owned an online boutique selling edgy maternity and baby wear. \u00a0After discovering retail was not my gift, but encouraging moms to maintain their sense of style after having kids was<\/em>, I decided to work from a platform in which I could share my personal tips and tricks. A Mom in Red High Heels began and I haven\u2019t looked back!<\/p>\n

(2) What are the key factors that have helped your blog become successful<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

I think the biggest key is working with where my audience is and sharing with them what they can do today<\/em> to look and feel their best. We all love to follow fashion blogs where the blogger looks like she stepped out of a fashion magazine but I think for busy moms, it\u2019s not practical. However, we can learn quick things that will help us look fabulous. \u00a0It\u2019s all about discovering what works for us as individuals and having a well-edited wardrobe and makeup bag.<\/p>\n

(3) What’s your fashion philosophy<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

My style is Edgy Elegance- downtown cool with uptown class. \u00a0I love styles that have some interesting \u00a0hardware or pattern\u2026. It\u2019s all about the details! \u00a0An outfit is not complete until you add great jewelry and shoes. \u00a0Heels are my personal preference.<\/p>\n
